Erklärende Hypothesen stellen Wirkungszusammenhänge zwischen Elementen der Ausstattung, Bedingungen und Vorkommnissen her ([Hochuli Freund/Stotz 2021, S. 253](/book/arbeit/253)). Sie basieren stets auf den gewählten Theorien und sind durch theoriegeleitete Fallüberlegungen gestützt.
